Join me at SANSFIRE 2025, happening July 14–19 in Washington, D.C., where frontline experts from the SANS Internet Storm Center (ISC) reveal how the most persistent cyber threats are tracked, analyzed, and mitigated in real-time.
As the pace and complexity of cyberattacks continue to grow, we're tracking that activity 24/7/365. Every day, the ISC analyzes data from thousands of sensors around the world to uncover anomalies, detect patterns, and understand what's coming next. That work is only possible because of the global community behind it—and at SANSFIRE 2025, I'm looking forward to bringing this community together.
I'll be opening the event with a keynote session focused on how the ISC utilizes AI and machine learning to strengthen threat detection. These technologies are part of how we detect early indicators of compromise, flag suspicious behavior, and make faster, more informed decisions. I'll walk through how we've implemented these tools at scale, what's working, and what we're still learning.
But SANSFIRE is about more than just showing you what we do. This year, attendees will participate in live honeypot workshops to learn how to deploy and monitor their own honeypots with the same techniques we use at the ISC. These sessions are designed for all experience levels, and you'll leave with practical knowledge you can take back to your organization right away.
