At SANS Cyber Defense Initiative (CDI) 2025, the SANS LDR521: Security Culture for Leaders course will equip enterprise leaders with the skills to transform organizational security culture into a measurable business capability. This new, intensive five-day course moves beyond awareness programs to give course participants a data-driven framework for assessing, improving, and sustaining security culture across any organization. It translates decades of behavioral science into practical, repeatable steps that leaders can apply immediately.
LDR521 participants learn how to:
Quantify and benchmark their organization's security culture
Apply behavioral science to drive measurable improvements in secure behavior
Build a tailored roadmap that aligns cultural change with business objectives
Communicate culture results and progress in business language
Sustain long-term change through continuous measurement and engagement
With more than 20 interactive labs and simulations, LDR521 participants will leave CDI with a custom Security Culture Matrix and roadmap tailored to their organization, serving as a practical tool for making culture measurable, actionable, and sustainable.
The new LDR521 course is taught by SANS senior instructor Lance Spitzner, a top expert in human risk management and security culture. Join him at SANS CDI 2025 in Washington D.C. this December to learn how to make security culture a lasting strength within your organization.
